The former England rugby player, 41, split from Chloe Madeley in 2023, but now he\u2019s on TV dating again, and unpacking what actually went wrong. Spoiler: It\u2019s a lot.<\/p>\n

Before signing up, James made sure Chloe \u2014 who he shares three-year-old daughter Bodhi with \u2014 was on board. He said taking part in the show has \u201creconfirmed what I want in life\u201d, which feels\u2026 convenient timing.<\/p>\n

His mum, Susie Haskell, made a surprise appearance on the show, and immediately dragged his entire romantic history. Susie didn\u2019t hold back, saying: \u201cI\u2019m not sure where he\u2019s gone wrong because prior to his marriage, I met lots of lovely girlfriends. Each of them just loved me, which is a bonus.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do have quite a strong opinion on why I think it went wrong. You can\u2019t have two stars because you have them competing for the floor space the whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chloe, daughter of Richard Madeley<\/span><\/span> and Judy Finnigan<\/span><\/span>, has been very open about how bad things got.<\/p>\n

Speaking previously to The Sun<\/a>, she said: “It\u2019s two years since we separated and it\u2019s been f**king long enough, our life has very slowly fallen into place as co-parents and as ex-husband and wife.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s fine now, but the divorce process has been incredibly emotional and volatile. We have weeks where everything\u2019s fine and we get on really well.”<\/p>\n
