Abbey and David have split after five years<\/a>, with the main issue coming down to Abbey wanting to get married and David not being there yet.<\/p>\n

A source has claimed to\u00a0The US Su<\/a>n<\/a>\u00a0that their relationship is over, claiming: \u201cSadly it\u2019s true that David and Abbey broke up. They couldn\u2019t come to an agreement on when to get married. She was ready years ago, he still needed time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another insider close to David claimed: \u201cThey did break up, but he is doing very well.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Abbey and David have both openly discussed their differing thoughts on marriage over the years, with Abbey even thinking they’d be ready to get married at the end of last year. Here’s everything they both said about the topic.<\/p>\n

Abbey admitted ‘there’s a difference’ between when she and David want to get married just months ago<\/h2>\n

Abbey appeared on the\u00a0We Need To Talk Podcast<\/a>\u00a0at the start of the month, however the episode was filmed just after the New Year. During her discussion with Paul Brunson she admitted that whilst she loves David, she knows \u201che\u2019s\u00a0not ready to get married.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abbey continued to say: \u201cThere\u2019s a difference. I do want to be married but I just don\u2019t know when. I don\u2019t need to rush it, I just want to take my time.\u201d<\/p>\n

David repeatedly stated he still wasn’t ‘ready’ for marriage yet<\/h2>\n

Back in April 2025, David and Abbey were asked if they\u2019d get engaged. David told\u00a0Impaulsive<\/a>, \u201cWe are still together but we are not ready for that yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

David also told\u00a0TODAY<\/a>\u00a0that on the topic of marriage, they weren\u2019t \u201cready to do the real thing yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Abbey thought she and David would get married in 2025<\/h2>\n

Abbey previously opened up to\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/a> about when she and David would be ready to get married, stating she thought it would happen \u201cprobably in late 2025.”<\/p>\n

She explained on\u00a0the\u00a0Unplanned Podcast<\/a> that she\u2019s already started thinking about the food that would be on offer, describing that cookies, Costco pizza, and Yum Yum Donuts will all be on the menu.<\/p>\n

She added: \u201cI\u2019ve always always wanted to be old enough to get married. Marriage means I\u2019m like a princess.\u201d<\/p>\n

Neither Abbey or David posted anything for Valentine\u2019s this year, and it\u2019s the first time they haven\u2019t commemorated the occasion. They also haven\u2019t posted each other in almost five months, with the last time either of them\u00a0posted each other was at the start of December 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Reddit<\/a>, David confirmed to a viewer who messaged him about his and Abbey\u2019s relationship that they were no longer together, however the post was removed.<\/p>\n
