Love on the Spectrum has already been renewed for season five, but next season might look a little different to previous iterations.<\/p>\n

According to The US Sun<\/a>, there are three huge changes being made to season five of Love on the Spectrum which could transform the show for all the better.<\/p>\n

A more diverse cast<\/h2>\n

The first is a larger focus on having a more diverse cast, with an insider claiming: \u201cThey\u2019re casting right now, and diversity is a major focus for new cast members the show brings on.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s been criticism for the lack of diversity on the show, and producers are taking that feedback seriously. Producers want the show to be the best possible representation of all kinds of people who are on the spectrum.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those in pre-existing relationships featured and not just singles<\/h2>\n

Producers are also reportedly considering featuring those on the spectrum who are already in a relationship, not just couples who met on the show.<\/p>\n

Whilst some couples like Abbey and David are in a couple and still get screen time, they both met on the show and were single when they joined the cast. However, now producers are looking into casting couples who are already together.<\/p>\n

The insider claimed: \u201cThey\u2019ve never done this before. They want to show what relationships look like once you\u2019re already in one, not just the search for love.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they find the right couple, or couples, it could happen in the next season. If not, they\u2019re aiming for following season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Giving cast members an increase in pay<\/h2>\n

Producers are claimed to be considering increasing the compensation for cast members following the show\u2019s success.<\/p>\n

The insider claimed: \u201cThe show\u2019s popularity has grown every season.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s led to conversations about paying the longtime cast members who are returning a significant amount more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Connor has been confirmed not to be returning to the show<\/h2>\n

Connor told Variety<\/a> in a statement: \u201cIt is with humility and a heavy heart that I share I will not be partaking in season five. I feel like three seasons is enough to tell my story and find love on my own time. I\u2019ve chosen to pass the torch to the next person who can make it as big as me.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what Connor is planning to do next, it seems he\u2019ll be staying put in the entertainment industry. He explained: \u201cDon\u2019t worry about me \u2014 I\u2019m still going to be in the acting business, especially voice work. I\u2019ve always been a huge fan of animation and would love to be involved with a TV show.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI want to sincerely thank Cian, Sean, and the entire crew for changing my life over the past three years.\u201d<\/p>\n

When will season five release?<\/h2>\n

Given that casting is now open, filming will most likely start within the next couple of months, meaning the new season will be out around March\/April next year.<\/p>\n
