Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania is starring on The Real Housewives of Rhode Island<\/a>, but why exactly is she on it?<\/p>\n

It was announced as BravoCon 2025 that she would star on the show as “a friend of” Liz McGraw, with the pair having been friends for a while.<\/p>\n

An insider told Us Weekly<\/a> at the time that “the idea is she would set a tone but not as an official cast member,\u201d an insider told Us.<\/p>\n

Dolores previously revealed that the first place she ever visited outside of New Jersey was Rhode Island, recalling: “So my first time out of New Jersey was in Rhode Island. I was 18 years old. It was my first time experiencing anything [outside] of New Jersey. It was insane. They paint the streets with the Italian flag there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liz spoke more about her friendship with Dolores Catania during the Real Housewives of Rhode Island trailer, saying: “We\u2019re friends.” The pair appeared at a party together where someone asked if they were sisters, with Dolore asking, “do you think we look alike?\u201d<\/p>\n

Bravo also released a press release about Dolores’ involvement with Rhode Island, writing: “Rhode Island captured Dolores\u2019s heart years ago and she\u2019s longed to return ever since. With her dear friend Liz McGraw living there, and a shared business project on the horizon, a sun-soaked, beach-filled summer is a natural fit for this Jersey girl.\u201d<\/p>\n
