A Love Is Blind bride whose husband attempted to murder her after they got married on the show has revealed how she managed to escape him and report him to the police.<\/p>\n

Santiago met\u00a0Emily Ceco<\/a>\u00a0during the 2024 series of Love Is Blind: Argentina, and the two got married in a civil ceremony during the end of the show.<\/p>\n

He was sentenced on Wednesday 25th March for attempted murder, repeated assault, and unlawful detention.<\/p>\n

The pair had been planning to get married again in a more intimate setting, however in February 2025, Emily reported Santiago for gender-based violence after getting a black eye and ended up calling off their engagement entirely.<\/p>\n

During the trial, Emily explained that before she called off their wedding her family had organised a surprise bachelorette party for her.<\/p>\n

She recalled: “My mom, with my sisters, my aunts and my cousins organized a surprise bachelorette party for me. When we got home, he wasn’t talking to me.”<\/p>\n

She claimed that when she went to hug Santiago he started insulting her, and was allegedly furious at her for going to her own surprise bachelorette party. He grabbed her phone and told her that she wasn’t “going anywhere.”<\/p>\n

He told her that she had “disrespected me by going out like that”, and that “that\u2019s not how a woman in a relationship should behave.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emily begged Santiago not to hit her, but claimed he then punched her twice, pushed her against the bed and “began to choke her with his arms.” He also spat on her whilst hitting her.<\/p>\n

She was finally able to escape her home after pretending that she’s forgiven Santiago, and whilst he was “tidying up” their room she managed to flee the house.<\/p>\n

She recalled that she “had to calm him down so he wouldn\u2019t keep hurting me”, and “acted like everything was fine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Emily continued, saying when she “saw the chance” she left, and “took advantage of a moment when he wasn\u2019t holding me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Santiago has denied the allegations that he was going to kill Emily<\/a>, as he posted on Instagram during the trial that it\u2019s a \u201clie\u201d and she was never in \u201cany of danger of death.\u201d<\/p>\n
