Hilary and Pete Musser<\/a> were involved in a messy lawsuit before she starred on Members Only: Palm Beach<\/a>. She alleged in 2023 that he conspired to pay off his debts with her assets, as per The Inquirer<\/a>, following his death after a car accident back in 2019.<\/p>\n

Pete was an investor stripped off his billionaire status by the dot com crash in the 2000s. He was the former head of Safeguard Scientifics for 48 years, who was well-known in Philadelphia for his venture capitalism, and Hilary says his actions became clear after his death.<\/p>\n

In the lawsuit<\/a>, Hilary alleges her former husband conspired with officials of Safeguard Scientifics of Wayne to pay his multimillion-dollar stock market debts using properties he promised to her. When he died, she became executor of his will, gaining access to his papers.<\/p>\n

Hilary explained to us how Pete kept borrowing more money to invest and \u201cowed too much money,\u201d which led to the board on the business he worked for having to fire him, which \u201creally crushed him.\u201d She described it as the \u201cuntold story\u201d of their marriage.<\/p>\n
