Suebelle was only 13 when her father was killed at the age of 33.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1181\" data-end=\"1517\">The loss was sudden and devastating, marking the start of a series of traumatic events that would shape her adolescence. \u201cThat\u2019s very traumatic,\u201d said host Michael Bosstick, and it\u2019s hard to disagree.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1947\">A year later, her mother married her late father\u2019s best friend, a man Suebelle had adored since childhood.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1947\">At first, there was joy and even sweetness, she remembers catching the couple kissing and laughing about it.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1519\" data-end=\"1947\">But stability was short-lived. When Suebelle was 15, their home burned down, and the family\u2019s beloved collie died in the fire. Two major losses in one year would be overwhelming for anyone, let alone a teenager.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1949\" data-end=\"2268\">By 16, Suebelle found her escape.
