Hilary Musser<\/a> is no longer married to billionaire Pete Musser<\/a>, but there’s a shocking reason for why she left him all those years ago. She’s had five marriages, as we all found out on Netflix<\/a>‘s new show Members Only: Palm Beach<\/a>, including a split from Pete in April 2005.<\/p>\n

She claims she married him a month after his financial troubles began, but in April 2005, they separated. That’s when Hilary left town, her son in tow, to begin a new life in Palm Beach, where her total value of closed sales is believed to be $61.7 million.<\/p>\n

So, how did Hilary, who was Pete’s second wife, begin dating him? Well, she had a liver tumour at the time, and when Pete revealed his true feelings for her, she claims she “ran away.” She told Philadelphia Magazine<\/a>: \u201cI didn\u2019t really think of Pete as someone I would date.”<\/p>\n
