Jordan Hurt is still on Owning Manhattan<\/a> and now works as a real estate agent, but there’s a reason why he stopped being Ryan Serhant<\/a>‘s assistant after five years. However, he’s revealed he never intended to be “chained to the desk” for a long period back then.<\/p>\n

Although he’s now done over $200 million in sales, Ryan had to drop Jordan from the 96th Street listing due to a lack of sales. Jordan told Advocate<\/a>: “I was with him as an executive assistant for five and a half years. I never wanted to be his assistant for that long.”<\/p>\n

He added that he only planned to do it for “maybe for a year or two” and said: “And then I\u2019d go off on my own and be an agent. I didn’t want to be chained to the desk. And five and a half years went by pretty quickly, didn’t it? And I think that it served both of us very well.”<\/p>\n
