Zac Efron appeared on Dancing With The Stars earlier in the week, but his appearance has drawn some questions about whether he’s had work done to his face.<\/p>\n

Speculation really ramped up about Zac Efron having plastic surgery done to his face last year when he appeared in The Family Affair on Netflix alongside Nicole Kidman, with the actor looking almost unrecognisable.<\/p>\n

However, Zac has addressed the claims he’s had work done and as it turns out there’s a heartbreaking reason behind why his face does look so different than before.<\/p>\n

He explained to Vanity Fair<\/a> that in 2013 he was \u201crunning through his house in socks and slipped\u201d and as a result shattered his jaw on a granite fountain. That’s got to hurt.<\/p>\n

He was knocked unconscious and when regained consciousness, his chin bone \u201cwas hanging off his face.\u201d<\/p>\n

He explained that as a result of the incident his jaw muscles wouldn\u2019t stop growing because of the trauma, saying: \u201cThe masseters just grew. They just got really, really big.\u201d<\/p>\n

And no, the constant speculation that Zac Efron has got Botox in his face haven\u2019t gone unnoticed by the actor as he joked that his mum told him about the plastic surgery rumours.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cMy mom told me. I don\u2019t really read the internet, so, I don\u2019t really give a f**k.<\/p>\n

“It was funny. It sucks. I almost died, but we\u2019re good.\u201d So now we can finally put the Botox rumours to bed please!<\/p>\n
