The ninth season of Love Is Blind<\/a> stunned viewers when two key contestants, Anna Yuan and Blake Anderson, abruptly exited the pods without farewells.<\/p>\n

Their departures sparked confusion and backlash on social media, but in recent interviews and statements, both have shared their emotional reasoning behind walking away so early.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a breakdown of what Anna and Blake have said about leaving season nine.<\/p>\n

From the start, Anna entered the pods knowing there was no guarantee she\u2019d find “the one.” She said she\u2019d be OK not finding someone, admitting: “I went in there thinking that anything could happen\u2026 I\u2019d be OK if I didn\u2019t find somebody because it\u2019s such a wild thing,” per Tudum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Her connection with Blake initially felt natural, she was drawn to “the kindness in his voice” and appreciated that he seemed grounded rather than performative. Meanwhile, Patrick also entered the picture, and Anna said she was drawn to him after breaking through her initial assumptions.<\/p>\n

Over time, though, Anna says the intensity of emotional vulnerability unsettled her.<\/p>\n

“I started seeing myself being pretty vulnerable, and it scared me a little bit because \u2026 this is going to be broadcast for people,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n

She also wrestled with guilt, feeling like she might be “taking up a spot” someone else could have used to find love. On the night she left, she revealed: “I was a wreck.\u2026 My eyes were almost swollen shut from crying. I was embarrassed.”<\/p>\n

When asked whether she regrets leaving without a direct goodbye, Anna said she doesn\u2019t believe the connections were strong enough to have sustained a marriage. “I don\u2019t think I regret it because I don\u2019t think the connections were strong enough to have a successful marriage from there.”<\/p>\n

She acknowledged that producers asked whether she\u2019d want to go into the pod and tell Patrick she was leaving, but emotionally, she couldn\u2019t face being on camera anymore.<\/p>\n
