Well, as it turns out Anton didn’t pay for the engagement ring at all, as it’s something the show provides. Awkward.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, the creator of Love Is Blind, Chris Coelen, cleared up some speculations about the engagement rings.<\/p>\n He clarified: “We supply them with the rings, and at that point, those rings are their. They never have to give them back if things don’t work out. They’re their rings.<\/p>\n “And if they want to say that they paid for them, then that’s up to them. They can say whatever they want.”<\/p>\n As for the prices, they aim to get ones in the “$3,500 to $5,000 rang”, so it looks like Ali was never going to get her dream $10k ring after all.<\/p>\n Chris explained: “If they want to upgrade their rings, they’re welcome to do that. We have nothing to do with that. We give them the rings, they do what they want.<\/p>\n “They are involved with choosing the rings, but we give them a selection, we pay for the rings, and they pick something out that they feel like makes sense for them.”<\/p>\n He added: “How they decide to talk about that is up to them. There are no rules.<\/p>\n “We’re documenting these people’s lives and we want to have them live those lives as authentically as they can because they’re making decisions that are very real and life-changing about whether or not they want to get engaged and get married and the love that comes with all of that.
