Love Island Games<\/a> season two is arriving in just under two weeks, however there’s a new element that’s threatening to already ruin the new season.<\/p>\n

So, what exactly is being introduced and why are people already threatening to boycott the show because of it?<\/p>\n

Well, season one of Love Island Games was pre-recorded meaning that viewers had absolutely zero influencer over which couples and cast members ended up getting the boot.<\/p>\n

This meant that it was all up to how they performed in the challenges and were often left to the mercy of their co-stars.<\/p>\n

However, season two of Games is completely flipping this format and not only will the show not be pre-recorded but viewers will be able to vote for which cast members get to stay versus who will get eliminated.<\/p>\n

However, a lot of viewers are already fuming over this drastic change as some cast members are already hugely more popular than others, meaning they could be unfairly favoured during voting.<\/p>\n

It also doesn’t help that Love Island Games is premiering on Peacock on September 19th, but isn’t premiering on ITV until later on, meaning a huge amount of UK viewers might miss out watching it live.<\/p>\n

As such, any cast members that aren’t from the US series could be hugely at risk of getting eliminated far earlier than they would have been without viewer voting.<\/p>\n

One person vented on Twitter: “Love Island Games is ruining a good thing by allowing the public to vote in season two. The LACK of voting is what I liked most about season one.”<\/p>\n

Another added: “Love Island Games season two having public votes\u2026 another season about to be ruined by fan discourse this is why it should\u2019ve been pre-recorded.”<\/p>\n
