Austin Shepard<\/a> was a controversial Love Island USA cast member who was slammed for supporting Donald Trump, as well as for sharing inappropriate videos about black women. He’s since apologised, but his social media had lots of people trying to get him axed.<\/p>\n

It’s been a few months and you’d think Austin would have undergone enough media training to know what’s the appropriate thing to say, and what not to say. But he’s only gone and shared a photo with Jalen and Jeremiah, writing, “My favourite chocolate men.”<\/p>\n

Jeremiah shared the same photo but didn’t reshare Austin’s caption, writing, “Missed my bruddah,” and tagging Jalen next to it. Jalen also put the same group pic on his Instagram Story with the caption, “You already know the vibe.”<\/p>\n

Back when Love Island USA season six just started airing, people noticed that he was resharing really political views on his TikTok page and appearing to support Donald Trump, including someone wearing a MAGA hat, as well as videos opposing Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a video that everyone is mad about which his account reposted, that shows a Black man \u201cdestroying a Black woman who said she\u2019s voting for Kamala\u201d. However, the account has not personally shared any views on Trump of his own, and just reshared other videos.<\/p>\n

After leaving the villa, Austin wrote: \u201cAs you all know, I have a very dry sense of humour, and I genuinely didn\u2019t think before sharing that content. It was never my intention to hurt or upset anyone. I value and respect all individuals and their perspectives.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I recognise that my choice of content did not resonate well with everyone, and for that, I sincerely apologise. I\u2019m committed to learning from this experience and to being mindful in the future. Thank you for your understanding and for holding me accountable,” he added.<\/p>\n
