Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian is one of many celebrities and reality TV<\/a> stars who are using their online presence to raise awareness about the tragic Texas floods this July. In absolutely devastating news, over 82 people have lost their lives, and more are missing as flash floods swept the southern US state. According to Al Jazeera<\/a>, “…flash floods hit Texas Hill Country, a region spanning central and southern Texas on July 4. In under two hours, the Guadalupe River swelled beyond its banks, surging higher than two-storey buildings at about 9 metres (30ft).”<\/p>\n

Following the tragic news on the Fourth of July weekend, Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/a> shared an emotional post on her Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n

She wrote: “I can\u2019t stop thinking about the families in Texas and the overwhelming pain they\u2019re going through right now.
As a mother, this kind of tragedy hits in a place words can\u2019t reach. The loss of those sweet, innocent children is something I can\u2019t fully process. There are just no words for this.<\/p>\n

“My heart is so deeply aching for every parent, every family member, and every community. Please know that so many of us are carrying you in our hearts right now, and I\u2019m praying with everything I have in me for those still missing. Texas, we are holding you close.”<\/p>\n

Per Al Jazeera, “Many girls were killed and others went missing as the floods hit the riverside Camp Mystic, a private Christian summer camp for girls. The camp is located in the Hunt community in western Kerr County along the banks of the Guadalupe River about 137km (85 miles) northwest of San Antonio.<\/p>\n

“When the flood hit, about 750 people were staying at Camp Mystic. At least 23 people from the camp are missing in the aftermath of the flooding.”<\/p>\n

Khlo\u00e9’s mom, Kris Jenner<\/a>, also paid tribute online.<\/p>\n

She wrote on IG Stories: “My heart is absolutely shattered by the devastating floods in Texas and the unimaginable loss of those precious children. It\u2019s a tragedy that\u2019s impossible to comprehend and heartbreaking beyond measure. No family should ever have to experience such sorrow.<\/p>\n

“Life is so fragile, and at times unbearably unfair. To the families living this nightmare, we are holding you in our hearts, praying for your strength, and grieving alongside you. I am so deeply sorry for your loss, and praying with all my heart that those still missing are found safe.”<\/p>\n
