The family of Drag Race<\/a> star, The Vivienne, whose real name was James Lee Williams, have released a statement following the official ruling their death was a “misadventure.”<\/a><\/p>\n

During the public inquiry, the coroner said that James most likely passed away in the bath on Friday evening after taking ketamine, with a neighbour discovering him on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The coroner stated: “The medical cause of death is cardio-respiratory arrest due to ketamine use.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conclusion, on the balance of probabilities, I\u2019m satisfied that James Williams\u2019 death was a misadventure, he took ketamine but he did not intend to take his own life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: “However the toxicology results indicate that the concentration found in the post-mortem, despite two days having lapsed, was still fairly high, which suggests he may have reached a fatal level on the Friday, I would describe that concentration as acute.”<\/p>\n

Lee Williams, who was his father, made a statement at the hearing, stating: “He was just an outgoing character who was full of life, he just wanted to make people laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe achieved his goals. He had future goals he wanted to achieve. Along the way he always wanted to try to help his community, which he did and try to help other drag queens.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was always available. He never turned anybody down. He never turned his back on anybody. He never said no.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loved the stage, that\u2019s where he saw the rest of his career being, on the stage, in the theatre. \u201cThat\u2019s what he loved to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bobby Musker was James’ best friend, and the last person to see The Vivienne alive, as the pair video called on Friday evening around 8:30.<\/p>\n

He explained further in the inquiry about his suspicions that James had taken the drug, saying: “I could tell when he was on it. He mentioned he had been to Liverpool in an Uber. I knew that he had been to get ketamine.\u201d<\/p>\n
