One of the biggest overarching plot points of season two of America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders<\/a> was with the women’s understandable frustrations over their lack of compensation, and their desire for a much needed pay rise.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders website states that the squad is paid for “rehearsals, home football games, promo appearances and shows.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, as they came to renew their contracts, many of the women were hesitant as most of them earned roughly $15 to $20 per hour, or $500 per game, despite working for over 40 hours for DCC, alongside their full time jobs.<\/p>\n

Throughout season two of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the veterans discuss their contracts, with the possibility of a walkout being mentioned if their pay wasn’t to change, a conversations which was allegedly recorded and shown to leadership.<\/p>\n

However, by the end of the season the team successfully negotiated a 400 per cent pay rise, with Jada telling PEOPLE<\/a>: “We had a lot of discussions I know with the leaders and within the team on just how we wanted to go about that, and I feel like the show represented that very well, and we actually come to a resolution at the end of the show too.”<\/p>\n

So, given their 400 per cent pay rise, how much will the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders squad be taking home now?<\/p>\n

Whilst a specific figure hasn’t been confirmed, it’s estimated to be around $2,000 per game, which would total $34,000 for the 17 games during the regular season, but excludes additional payments for other events and appearances.<\/p>\n

The series director Greg Whitely told Glamour<\/a> that he thinks those who are leaders will also get paid more, explaining: “I think it varies depending on how senior you are in the group. You may even get paid more if you\u2019re a group leader, though that was never clear to me.”<\/p>\n
