Grant and Juliana are the newest Bachelor couple to call off their engagement following the show, but there’s a very long and messy history of couples never making it down the aisle.<\/p>\n

So, let’s have a look at all of The Bachelor couples from over the years who ended up calling off their engagements after the show.<\/p>\n

Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosa<\/h2>\n

Grant and Juliana<\/a> met on the most recent season of The Bachelor<\/a>, but announced their decision to call off their engagement over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Grant broke the news on his Instagram story on Friday 13th, writing: “This is one of the harder things I’ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly. Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we’ve come to the understanding that we’re simply not the right fit long term. What we had was meaningful.<\/p>\n

“The connection we built on the show was real, and so was the effort we made to continue once the cameras stopped rolling.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: “There’s no negativity here. No resentment. Just two people who care about each other and want the best for one another moving forward.<\/p>\n

“I’ll always be grateful for what we shared and for the growth that came with it. Thank you to everyone who supported us and believed in our journey. This chapter is closing, but we’re both walking away with love and respect in our hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Juliana added in her own statement that “after a lot of honest conversations and reflection, we’ve come to the decision that this chapter of our lives is meant to continue on separate paths.”<\/p>\n

Andrew Baldwin & Tessa Horst<\/h2>\n

Three months after Andrew popped the question to Tessa during the 2007 season of The Bachelor, the pair decided to call off their engagement.<\/p>\n

The couple confirmed to People<\/a> in a statement: “We are very much in love and committed to our relationship.<\/p>\n

“With the possibility of reassignment to a new location, we decided it was not the ideal time for Tessa to uproot herself and move out [to Hawaii] right now. Our relationship continues to deepen, and we\u2019re very hopeful about our future together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt Grant & Shayne Lamas<\/h2>\n

The ending of Melissa and Jason’s engagement has to be one of the most dramatic ones to have ever featured on The Bachelor, as they called it quits whilst filming After the Final Rose.<\/p>\n

It all came crumbling down after Jason admitted he still had feelings for Molly Malaney, and the whole thing was very awkward to say the least.<\/p>\n

“The ups and downs weighed heavily on us both and ultimately we started to grow apart because of the distance, time apart, and our need to focus on our respective careers.”<\/p>\n

Chris Soules & Whitney Bischoff<\/h2>\n

Seven months after their on-show engagement, the pair announced their split to People<\/a>, explaining: “They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends.<\/p>\n

Nick Viall & Vanessa Grimaldi<\/h2>\n

Nick and Vanessa were yet another Bachelor couple who decided to call off their engagement, just seven months after meeting on the show.<\/p>\n

The pair announced in a joint statement: “We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairy-tale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arie Luyendyk Jr. & Becca Kufrin<\/h2>\n

Poor Becca, she really got done so dirty by Arie when he chose to end their engagement.<\/p>\n

Following filming, Arie admitted that he still had feelings for Lauren Burnham, and ultimately chose to end his relationship with Becca.<\/p>\n

This understandably left her heartbroken, as she told People<\/a>: “I never thought for a million years that once the going started to get tough that he would throw in the towel and jump ship and say, \u2018Oh sorry, I changed my mind.\u2019 I didn\u2019t think we were at that point whatsoever.”<\/p>\n
