online.<\/p>\n<p>As she appeared on the show, a video of her using a racial slur also began circulating on the internet.<\/p>\n<p>In the video, <a href=\"https:\/\/realitytvshrine.com\/2025\/06\/02\/a-love-island-usa-contestant-has-been-caught-saying-the-n-word-three-times\/\">Yulissa is seen saying the n-word<\/a> three times.<\/p>\n<p>She said: &#8220;Are you that n**** that controls what she wears?&#8221; Podcast clips from years ago have recently resurfaced, and I want to address it directly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The axed season seven star added that she used &#8220;a word she never should\u2019ve used, a racial slur.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Yulissa continued: &#8220;I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it. I wasn\u2019t trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognise now that intention doesn\u2019t excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It\u2019s tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She added how, at the time, she was &#8220;casually speaking in conversation&#8221; and that she&#8217;s &#8220;changed a lot since then.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Love Island USA alum rounded off by saying she was &#8220;sorry,&#8221; adding: &#8220;To those who are disappointed or offended, I understand and
