The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which Mormons believe and follow, has no official stance on cosmetic surgery, but church leaders have spoken out against excessive focus on the physical body if it detracts from spiritual growth.<\/p>\n

There’s also some people that argue that, when it comes to surgery s an example, the LDS emphasis on individual agency and autonomy allows members to make their own choices about their bodies, including cosmetic procedures.<\/p>\n

In a statement from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they warned against a “superficial standard” of beauty and cautioned against actions driven by a fixation on the physical body. When it comes to why they don’t allow Mormons to drink coffee, because they believe it is “bad for the belly and the body.”<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
