While Connor&#8217;s family unit is super positive and supportive, the Tomlinsons went through a whole lot before their Netflix stardom came along. But, as we all get to know him and his family more, people are curious about what happened to his parents.<\/p>\n<p>During the show, Connor and his mom talk about when she went on a first date with his stepdad, Tony. Connor says at the time he wanted his parents to get back together, but now he &#8220;knows better.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Connor&#8217;s mom, Lise, and <a href=\"https:\/\/realitytvshrine.com\/2025\/04\/09\/people-love-connors-mom-on-love-on-the-spectrum-but-more-are-dying-to-know-about-his-dad\/\">his biological father divorced<\/a> when he was a young kid.<\/p>\n<p>She explains how her youngest son, Jack, &#8220;wasn&#8217;t even two years old&#8221; at the time of the marriage breakdown during an interview on The Lift Lab Podcast.<\/p>\n<p>Lise says she was a single mom of four for five years before she met Tony.<\/p>\n<p>She explains: &#8220;Connor&#8217;s dad and I, I think autism puts a strain on a marriage, and it&#8217;s not anyone&#8217;s fault.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I found myself alone with these four children&#8230;&#8221; she adds.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Catching up with Tanner and Connor from Love on the Spectrum | The Lift Lab Podcast #010\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZO2xu134wZY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>Love on the Spectrum Connor\u2019s mom shares his reality<\/h2>\n<p>Connor&#8217;s mom, Lise, has Love on the Spectrum viewers literally in awe of her parenting.<\/p>\n<p>People are loving the Tomlinsons so much that they want them to get their own spin-off show, per lots of tweets on X.<\/p>\n<p>But, Lise sheds light on how life hasn&#8217;t always been perfect for her family.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of her divorce, she adds: &#8220;I had this little boy who was used to his dad coming home every night, and he wasn&#8217;t coming home any more&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He was throwing up and sick every night because his routine&#8217;s broken&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lise explains how the situation &#8220;forged the five of them in fire,&#8221; adding: &#8220;We were in the fire, but guess what? We&#8217;re shining right now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She adds of her family: &#8220;We&#8217;re here to be ourselves. We have our YouTube channel, we&#8217;ll get into a spat&#8230; but we will have our moments then we work through them together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Connor&#8217;s mom keeps it real, continuing:
