Emma Willis was absolutely convinced her now-husband, Matt, was breaking up with her during a trip to Italy. That was until he grabbed a box from his pocket and changed her life forever.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Love is Blind<\/a> hosts, Emma and Matt Willis, are leading the way as singletons date from little pods. The Netflix<\/a> duo have been married since 2008, but their relationship hasn’t always been easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Emma thought Matt was leaving her<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Emma Willis<\/a> recalled the moment Matt proposed to her during a trip to Venice, Italy, in 2007. She told The Telegraph<\/a>, “It was my birthday and he kept wanting to go on walks down little canals.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added how that wasn’t Matt’s style, adding, “He went really quiet and I actually thought he was going to finish with me. Then we got to the Rialto Bridge and we got to the top and he looked at me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Matt’s addiction issues, Emma vowed to stay with him during the hardships but didn’t think they would stay together. Despite her previous doubts, she is still “madly in love” with her husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
