Jonathan Normolle is on Netflix’s Owning Manhattan<\/a>, where real estate agents try to sell multi-million dollar homes. His boss, Ryan Serhant<\/a>, fired him – but Jonathan planned it all. As if it didn’t hurt enough, he was fired on top of New York’s The Edge skyscraper.<\/p>\r\n

The Netflix<\/a> star introduced himself on the show as \u201cthe next generation of real estate,\u201d which made him unpopular.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jonathan fired from Owning Manhattan job<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Before season one of Owning Manhattan came to an end, agency boss Ryan Serhant felt he was conducting unprofessional behaviour and fired Jonathan, but the star didn’t agree with him and defended himself.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He talked negatively about his co-star and colleague Savannah Gowarty on the company\u2019s podcast, showed up late to an important showing, and was rude to the listing agent.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

However, according to the agent, he acted out purposefully with the goal of Serhant firing him from the company. Jonathan has since claimed Ryan begged him to return to the real estate agency.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He claims he ‘planned’ the firing<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jonathan revealed to the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/a> he wanted to start his own business, and claimed the only way to get out of his contract with Serhant was to be terminated.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cI went in to Ryan with all these things, and he got upset enough to fire me on TV, and instantly these contracts were completely void,\u201d he said, before claiming Serhant hired fake agents. He added, “I had a plan because I was under contract with Ryan and all the sponsorships.”<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Netflix spent one whole year casting the agents for Owning Manhattan – agents Jonathan claimed are not genuine. Jonathan, however, insisted that he never auditioned for the show and instead was begged to come aboard by Ryan.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Reality Shrine reached out to Serhant and Netflix for comment.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He continued his career in real estate<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He is now the founder of Next Gen Ventures, which he launched in 2023 while working as a salesperson for Highline Residential<\/a>, described as a \u201cyoung and vibrant brokerage built on excellence and a cross-disciplinary approach,” where he led his own team.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jonathan’s group is called the Next Gen Team, which includes seven agents that work under his mentorship. The team has several active listings across neighbourhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He left that role in 2024 and is now solely working on his own business.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

N\u00f8rm\u00f8lle, who uses praise by Serhant on his company bio, also works as a model. He is signed to Elite Models Miami and has posed for several international publications.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
