The former power couple were celebrating daughter North West&#8217;s Hollywood Bowl stardom together on The Kardashians. He is awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2025\/03\/15\/kanye-west-kim-kardashian-fight-over-new-song-diddy-north\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TMZ<\/a>, North&#8217;s mother, Kim, &#8220;tried really hard to get Ye not to release the song.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE<\/p>\n<p>YE KANYE WEST<br \/>\nPUFF DADDY feat.<br \/>\nKING COMBS (PUFF Son)<br \/>\nNORTH WEST<br \/>\nJASMINE WILLIAMS (new Yeezy artist from Chicago)<\/p>\n<p>NEW SONG <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CAQycwkACz\">pic.twitter.com\/CAQycwkACz<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 YEFANATICS (@yefanatics) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/yefanatics\/status\/1901018666965389648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 15, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Kim Kardashian allegedly weighs in on the song<\/h2>\n<p>Kim and Kanye reportedly had a dispute over the &#8216;release&#8217; of the song.<\/p>\n<p>Before it dropped, Kanye shared now-deleted screenshots on social media of a text conversation he claims he had with ex-wife Kim.<\/p>\n<p>He threatens her he&#8217;ll &#8220;go to war&#8221; in the messages after she allegedly attempted to halt the song&#8217;s release when sharing she had North&#8217;s name trademarked.<\/p>\n<p>In the screenshots captured and reported by TMZ, messages allegedly from Kim read:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name, you said yes, when she&#8217;s 18 it goes to her. So stop. I sent paperwork over so she wouldn&#8217;t be in the Diddy song to protect her. One person has to trademark!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The messages continue: &#8220;We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks so no one else would take them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The screenshots show replies allegedly from Ye, reading: &#8220;Amend it or I&#8217;m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You&#8217;re going to have to kill me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Reality Shrine has reached out to Ye and Kim Kardashian&#8217;s reps for comment.<\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For all the
