After 14 seasons, it seems Alaskan Bush People has shockingly been cancelled, according to the US Sun<\/a>, with the series no longer filming future episodes.<\/p>\n

Whilst Discovery has not made an official statement on the show’s coming to an end, there have been numerous issues plaguing the production and cast of Alaskan Bush People, which would have led to its cancellation.<\/p>\n

Just two months after Billy Brown’s death, his business partner, Robert Maughon, filed for a breach of contract lawsuit against his estate and Alaskan Wilderness Family Productions in April 2021.<\/p>\n

A testimony from Ami, Billy’s wife, was taken in April 2024, which seemed to reveal the current status of the show, as documents stated: “Testimony acknowledging that the show \u2018Alaskan Bush People\u2019 ultimately had 14 seasons, with the last season being filmed in 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n

It seems Alaskan Bush People has also been removed from the Discovery Channel’s media page, another sign it’s been cancelled, whilst shows such as Naked and Afraid to Gold Rush are still included.<\/p>\n

On the Discovery Channel\u2019s media page, Alaskan Bush People is not listed as one of the company’s \u201cproperties,” as shows from Naked and Afraid to Gold Rush are included.<\/p>\n

Whilst the family haven’t confirmed the show is cancelled yet, Bear Brown has revealed that he’ll be starring in a spinoff show called Alaskan Bush People Behind The Scenes with Bear Brown.<\/p>\n

He explained in a previous Instagram video: “Over the past year, I have been asked if there will be a new season of Alaskan Bush People, while I can\u2019t answer that question at this time, I am excited to announce, Alaskan Bush People Behind The Scenes With Bear Brown.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s starting with the first season, I will be talking about both things in front of the camera, and behind it! The first episode is dropping summer 2024. In the meantime, you can stream all the old episodes of [Alaskan Bush People] on [Max].\u201d<\/p>\n
