But, people are still wondering what on earth happened to a season 1 star. And if so, everyone&#8217;s dying to know one thing &#8211; why!? But, the mind-bending twists and turns of the game weren&#8217;t the reason Amanda seemingly disappeared from the show.<\/p>\n<p>During The Traitors US season one, Amanda was there one minute and gone the next.<\/p>\n<p>Now, people are wondering where she got to. It turns out she had to leave and didn&#8217;t really have much choice in the matter.<\/p>\n<p>During the show it was revealed Amanda had to: &#8220;&#8230;leave the castle for reasons beyond her control.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Season 1 &#8211; The masterclass, blueprint seminar on how to be a Traitor.<\/p>\n<p>Season 2 &#8211; Iconic roundtable READS and comedy. Heightened gameplay across the board.<\/p>\n<p>Season 3 &#8211; The bloodbath. Strategic &amp; social chaos, with the most dramatic &amp; viral moments.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TheTraitorsUS?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TheTraitorsUS<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/T5zcbyR8AD\">pic.twitter.com\/T5zcbyR8AD<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Mel \u2728 (@melbrown00) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/melbrown00\/status\/1896982223276138577?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 4, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>A health issue stopped Amanda in her tracks<\/h2>\n<p>Unfortunately for Amanda, her time on The Traitors was cut short.<\/p>\n<p>She explained she contracted COVID-19 and was forced to leave, in an Instagram post via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realityblurred.com\/realitytv\/2023\/03\/traitor-us-season-1-players-covid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reality Blurred<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Amanda cleared the air on her IG Stories: &#8220;What really happened was that I tested positive for COVID, and I was no longer able to participate in the competition.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She explained how she &#8220;took every precaution&#8221; including &#8220;wearing an N-95 and a surgical mask&#8221; on her flights and &#8220;quarantining before and after she got into Scotland.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Amanda added: &#8220;I was vaccinated. And I still tested positive and couldn\u2019t continue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The ER nurse really wasn&#8217;t happy about the whole situation, as you&#8217;d imagine.<\/p>\n<p>She continued: &#8220;It was like the rug got pulled out from underneath of me and all my hopes and dreams and this amazing opportunity that I will probably never get again just was taken away from me in an instant.<\/p>\n<p>Amanda only lasted five episodes on the show but decided to try and see positives after having to leave in 12th place.<\/p>\n<p>She continued: &#8220;But instead of focusing on the negatives, I\u2019m trying to focus on the positives and the facts and they are the Faithful didn\u2019t banish me. The Traitors didn\u2019t murder me.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;And as far as I\u2019m concerned, your girl has unfinished business in Ardross Castle. So who knows?
