Basically, he met her friends and immediately seemed to despise his new fiance, even more than the moment he found out she&#8217;d hooked up with someone he knew on the outside. There&#8217;s a specific point when people reckon he couldn&#8217;t see past the ick, and everyone&#8217;s pointing it out.<\/p>\n<h2>Apparently Dave got the ick with Lauren<\/h2>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Dave got the ick after hanging out with Lauren\u2019s friends. If it wasn&#8217;t cringy enough that Dave jokily told Lauren&#8217;s mom, &#8220;She\u2019s not cute, she\u2019s boring, I hate being around her,&#8221; it got worse when he met his then-fiance&#8217;s friendship group. And the timing makes sense that Dave couldn&#8217;t see past meeting Lauren&#8217;s friends, but blamed it on her hooking up with a mutual before the experiment.<\/p>\n<p>Not to mention Dave didn&#8217;t want Lauren to meet any of his family or friends. She told him: \u201cOur relationship is going be better when your sister meets me, when your friends meet me. And we\u2019re going to get stronger and be able to focus on us when that\u2019s not a piece of it,\u201d but he replied, &#8220;My family, they don\u2019t meet just anyone. The couple then met up with a few of Lauren&#8217;s friends, who supported her and said the man she&#8217;d been seeing beforehand was never a boyfriend. Still, Dave wasn&#8217;t convinced &#8211; and that&#8217;s the moment he got the ick, apparently.<\/p>\n<p>In Episode 10, Dave didn&#8217;t come home after going out with friends. He texted Lauren in the middle of the night to say he was going to stay at his apartment, but she said in a confessional: &#8220;With Dave, I&#8217;m frustrated that he&#8217;s saying he wants to continue figuring thing out but then he leaves&#8230; And I&#8217;m the one who&#8217;s not ready for marriage?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They sorted things over the next day when Dave came home, but Lauren said her parents were concerned she might &#8220;get hurt.&#8221; And that&#8217;s a classic example of how Dave not particularly liking Lauren&#8217;s friends gave him the ick &#8211; and we all know
