Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, officially premiered today, but it turns out the gorgeous and homely house we see on the show isn’t actually real.<\/p>\n

Yep, that’s right, we’re not actually seeing Meghan and Harry’s boujee abode but instead a nearby rental that’s been painted and furnished in order to almost perfectly mimic their actual Californian home.<\/p>\n

will officially premiere. But when viewers turn in, they won\u2019t be getting a peek into the Duchess of Sussex\u2019s actual Montecito, California, home. Instead, the picturesque estate on the show is a nearby rental, chosen to mimic the famous residence.<\/p>\n

The With Love, Meghan star has revealed exactly why she didn’t want Netflix to film in her house, telling People<\/a> that the main issue was her children.<\/p>\n

She revealed: “I wanted to protect that safe haven. We\u2019re a close-knit family, and I love those moments\u2014putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

“Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that\u2019s a lot of people to have in your house!\u201d<\/p>\n

She explained that both Harry and the kids would come and visit their fake house whilst filming was taking place, saying: “Archie did the [filming clapboard]! Sweet moments.<\/p>\n

“They would also come with my husband and visit me on-set, and I loved that my children were able to watch me working and see the balance of that and understand what Mama does and is working to create and share. It was really special because up until then, they hadn\u2019t seen me at work.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI hope that when they get old enough, they feel really proud that they were part of the beginning of this with me.\u201d<\/p>\n
