Body camera footage seen by <a href=\"http:\/\/Benzino is seen crying in a video circulating online, where police officers are captured speaking to Althea. During that season, in 2014, he proposed to the recording artist before they left the show.<\/p>\n<p>Benzino and Althea had a son together in November 2015 but broke off their engagement shortly after. They appeared together on season 6 of television show\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytitbit.com\/dating\/who-is-tresure-on-marriage-boot-camp-and-is-she-still-with-mally-mall\">Marriage Boot Camp<\/a><\/em>,\u00a0where they faced several issues.<\/p>\n<p>The former couple also appeared on TV One\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Next 15<\/em>, where she accused Benzino of spending too much time with female co-stars.\u00a0In 2015, the couple officially split.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-why-did-the-former-own-couple-split\">Why did the former OWN couple split?<\/h2>\n<p>In 2015, it was revealed Althea and Benzino had split several months into her pregnancy. As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/theboxhouston.com\/9586101\/althea-confirms-breakup-with-benzino\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Box Houston<\/a>, she claimed their relationship involved her \u201claying down with someone [she] didn\u2019t fully get to know first\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The recording artist wrote on Twitter:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>I laid down with someone I didn&#8217;t fully get to know first so I have to deal with the things that happened so far [which] I am not happy with. I&#8217;m going to be the bigger person and stop showing the way I&#8217;m feeling. As per <a href=\"https:\/\/thesource.com\/2022\/04\/11\/watch-benzino-arrested-for-criminal-damage-in-georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Source<\/a>, she claimed her child\u2019s father punched her new man\u2019s truck.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper appears to be shirtless in the video while officers take witness statements.\u00a0He denies\u00a0hitting the man&#8217;s truck and said he had stopped by to watch his son play tennis before being confronted by Althea\u2019s male friend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A video shared by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Mzs7N9i0Ans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Real World Police<\/a> reports Benzino was taken into custody for criminal damage and transported to Gwinnett Co Jail. Warrants were signed with a Gwinnett County judge. A statement reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>While watching his son play tennis, Raymond states that a male came up to him and told him he was going to shoot him. Raymond denies any involvement in the damage to Reginald&#8217;s [Althea&#8217;s male friend\u2019s] vehicle.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On February 3rd 2022, Raymond &#8220;Benzino&#8221; Scott was charged with one count of second degree criminal damage to property.
