Unfortunately, he passed away only a year after he had managed to reconnect with his daughter Noella. She says she \u201cwishes she could have told him more\u201d about how proud she was of him.<\/p>\n<p>Nance worked as a weatherman for almost 20 years at one of the world\u2019s biggest broadcasters, NBC. He is also recognised for his work helping others and championed multiple charities that support children with illnesses.<\/p>\n<p>Since his passing, he has been remembered by many for his kind-hearted spirit as well as influence and inspiration on others. One person wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>I remember your dad, Christopher Nance. He came to my elementary school when I was a kid to talk to us some time around 1989 to 1991. Brentwood Science Magnet school. I remember he took a Polaroid photo of us in the auditorium and later displayed the photo of us on TV. I recall he used to wear a red flower in his suit lapel. I just thought it was so cool having someone like him show up to our school to inspire us.<\/p>\n<p><cite>Instagram<\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The comments of love and inspiration weren\u2019t just on Noella&#8217;s Instagram as his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goldfinchfuneralhome.com\/obituaries\/Christopher-Nance\/#!\/TributeWall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">obituary<\/a> page was full of the same kind of messages. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/sickle-cell-anemia\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355876\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mayo Clinic<\/a>, the disease means there aren\u2019t enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body.<\/p>\n<p>For people who don\u2019t suffer from the disease, flexible red blood cells move easily through the blood vessels.
