Jenny’s investment turned out to be her last as a Dragon, as she recently announced that she was leaving the Den now that the 2019 series has come to a close.<\/p>\n
So what is the deal with her parking app? Is the app up and running now?<\/p>\n
The parking app idea belongs to entrepreneur\u00a0Chris Read, who cashed in half of the business\u00a0for an \u00a380,000 investment and the chance to work with Jenny.<\/p>\n
Chris works for technology company Proxy Smart Limited, who own the\u00a0ParkingPerx app.<\/p>\n
The app aims to revolutionise the way people pay for parking in city centres, offering free parking for people that spend at certain high street brands.<\/p>\n
For example, you could earn a parking ticket for a certain area by spending \u00a310 at a nearby McDonalds, using the ParkingPerx app to confirm the deal.<\/p>\n

The app is still very much at the development stage, with a lot of finer details to iron out between consumers, merchants and U.K parking companies.<\/p>\n
It’s unlikely\u00a0to kick-start into action any time soon.<\/p>\n
With the company’s strong links to businesses in the North of England, it’s likely that the app will be rolled out in cities such as Sunderland or Newcastle before fully operating across the entire country.<\/p>\n
