Practical Magic 2 has landed in cinemas 28 years after the first movie. It\u2019s another witchy ride, but the end brings it back to reality with a touching detail in place of a post-credits scene – and it will have you sobbing when you know the backstory.<\/p>\n

In the sequel, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman<\/a> return as Sally and Gillian Owens, the sisters who descend from a long line of witches. If you recall, their family had been plagued for generations by a curse that doomed any man an Owens woman fell in love with.<\/p>\n

By the end of Practical Magic<\/a>, it seemed the curse had been broken and Sally could finally be with Gary (Aidan Quinn). But alas, the sequel proves it\u2019s very much still around and Gary has sadly died in the intervening years.<\/p>\n
