Former Doctor Who actor Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old actor, writer and director was charged on Wednesday, September 9, with two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.<\/p>\n

According to the Metropolitan Police, the alleged offences<\/a> took place between 2007 and 2016 and relate to five women.<\/p>\n

The charges come following an investigation which began in September 2025, with police saying, “A man, then in his 40s, was first arrested in connection with the investigation on Thursday, 25 September 2025.” Detectives later submitted a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, which authorised the charges. <\/p>\n

Clarke, who is best known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who as well as writing and starring in the Kidulthood film series, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court next month. <\/p>\n

Following the charges, Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, whose team is leading the investigation, confirmed that the women connected to the case are continuing to receive support.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe women connected to these charges continue to receive support from specially trained officers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police. The information you provide will be dealt with in the utmost sensitivity and we have trained investigators on hand to support you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Met confirmed its investigation remains ongoing and asked anyone with information to come forward and speak with police.<\/p>\n

The Crown Prosecution Service also released a statement after authorising the charges. Bethan David, Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London, said: \u201cThe Crown Prosecution Service has decided to prosecute Noel Clarke with two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis follows allegations made by five women in connection to sexual misconduct that took place between 2007 and 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

David added that the CPS had worked closely with the Metropolitan Police during its investigation.<\/p>\n

The CPS stressed that criminal proceedings are now active and Clarke has the right to a fair trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice these proceedings,\u201d David said.<\/p>\n

Clarke is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.<\/p>\n
