The legend that is Nicolas Cage has had some seriously bad luck when it comes to houses, and his latest property disaster might just top the lot. <\/span><\/p>\n

Reports emerged on Tuesday that a massive sinkhole has opened up outside the actor\u2019s $10.5 million Malibu home, swallowing its driveway and leaving the beachfront property close to the edge. <\/span><\/p>\n

The hole, which reached around 25 feet deep and 60 feet wide, appeared after days of stormy weather that led to high tides and huge waves along the California coast. Crews responded to a gas leak in the affected area, prompting officials to order the evacuation of more than 30 nearby homes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thankfully, Cage\u2019s actual house hasn\u2019t fallen into the crater, despite some pretty terrifying pictures from the scene. But bizarrely, this is far from the first time one of the Spider-Noir<\/a> star\u2019s properties has made headlines for all the wrong reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nicolas Cage bought and lost a \u2018ghost front property\u2019<\/h2>\n

In 2007, Cage bought the LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans for $3.45 million. Now, if you don\u2019t know the history, there\u2019s a horrifying reason it\u2019s known as one of America\u2019s most haunted houses.<\/span><\/p>\n
