Nosferatu when it first came out as a 1920s, silent German film was deemed “a symphony of horror<\/a>” – and this is exactly the kind of statement you could use to describe Robert Eggers new version. Nosferatu is a harrowing, gothic masterpiece of vampire alluring spookiness – filled with as much repulsive disgust as it is sexual desire and mystique. If you thought the film couldn’t get any more scary and gross, you’d be wrong – director Robert Eggers just revealed one scene that had to be cut from Nosferatu for being too ‘demented’. Blurgh.<\/p>\n

It’s all in that grim and visceral ending<\/strong><\/h4>\n

So, the finale of Nosferatu sees Ellen be the focus of Count Orlok’s affection, and as the plague ravages Wisburg and the men go on a wild goose chase to hunt down the vampire – Ellen has plotted to sacrifice herself and give herself to Orlok so that no more can die and so she can kill him in the process.<\/p>\n

Because Count Orlok is down so bad for Ellen, he makes love to her and drains her of her blood but as he’s doing so the sun rises and he dies from exposure.<\/p>\n
