What you need to know after *that* Beauty in Black season 3 ending"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Warning: Spoilers ahead for Beauty in Black season three*<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beauty in Black season three did <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> hold back, with the ending leaving many characters\u2019 fates left hanging in the balance &#8211; including Bellarie patriarch Horace (Ricco Ross).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tyler Perry\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/tag\/netflix\/\">Netflix<\/a> series has returned, and it wastes no time in getting back into the chaos. Horace kicks off season three in a pretty powerful position, having teamed up with his new wife <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/2026\/08\/27\/beauty-in-black-season-3-ending-explained-are-kimmie-and-mallory-dead\/\">Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) and Mallory (Crystle Stewart)<\/a> to seize control of the Beauty in Black empire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After turning state\u2019s evidence against the rest of his family, his ex-wife Olivia (Debbi Morgan), sons Roy (Julian Horton) and Charles (Steven G. Norfleet), and brother Norman (Richard Lawson) are left facing the consequences of the Bellaries\u2019 criminal dealings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tyler Perry\u2019s Beauty in Black: Season 3 | Official Trailer | Netflix\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LK9Jl5Esyz4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the season progresses, Horace learns from his Italian oncologist that his cancer resulted from deliberate poisoning &#8211; and Norman was behind it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But after Norman uses his criminal connections to break free from custody, he comes for Mallory first, leading to a brutal showdown. Mallory gets the upper hand and shoots him, believing she\u2019s killed him.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Season three episode seven sees Horace go to see the evidence, where he pokes at Norman with his cane. \u201cYou thought you had me. Now look at you,\u201d he says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although he\u2019s still breathing, Horace assumes he&#8217;s on the way out and calls for a cleanup. Horace isn\u2019t dead by the end of <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/tag\/beauty-in-black\/\">Beauty in Black<\/a> season three. But as it stands, it\u2019s not looking good for him, and the Netflix series purposely leaves his fate ambiguous.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the shootout, Horace\u2019s security team rushes him to hospital, leaving Norman bleeding on the floor.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Angel (Xavier Smalls) holds the gunshot wound as they race to the medical centre, but even in his state, Horace demands to go to County instead of Stanley given everything that\u2019s happened.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The last we hear of him is when Angel tells Kimmie and Mallory that Horace is being treated. He doesn\u2019t have a security team to rush him to hospital like his brother, but Netflix purposely avoids confirming whether he survives by saying he\u2019s \u201cleft behind, seemingly dying on Mallory\u2019s floor.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As for why Mallory shot him, Crystle Stewart told Tudum, \u201cI see it as survival. Though Mallory isn\u2019t someone who looks for violence, she\u2019s not afraid of it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThroughout the series, she\u2019s consistently tried to outthink situations rather than overpower them. In that moment, she\u2019s protecting herself. However, given how popular the show is, the streamer reversed the decision.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tyler Perry said at the time, \u201cBeauty in Black is back for season 4, and the Bellarie family\u2019s story is far from finished.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThere was so much more I wanted to explore, and I\u2019m grateful I get to keep telling this story. To the audience that has been on this ride with us from day one, thank you for watching and sharing it with the world. More episodes are on the way!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obviously, Perry\u2019s comments don\u2019t confirm whether Horace will be among the Bellaries returning for season four, and Netflix has yet to announce which cast members will be back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But the fact that his fate is deliberately left unresolved rather than killing him outright certainly leaves the door open. Horace remains at the centre of several unfinished storylines, not least his marriage to Kimmie and the question of who will ultimately control the Beauty in Black empire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oh, and if you keep seeing TikTok edits of Horace being shot in the head by Charles, consider yourself duped.
