Jonathan Bailey has remained famously tight-lipped about his personal life, but in a recent and rare interview, he dished on plans for having kids via adoption.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Bailey’s meteoric rise to fame<\/a>, which Shondaland recently took credit for<\/a>, should be studied in pop culture history books. How he went from small projects like Chewing Gum to starring in Wicked<\/a> and next year’s Jurrasic Park just a few years later is basically witchcraft.<\/p>\n

Though he’s a regular on UK magazine covers, details on his personal life are annoyingly sparse. That was until he sat down with Vogue<\/a> in a new interview to discuss his plans for starting a family, his experiences of homophobia, and his desire to return to the stage.<\/p>\n

It’s frustrating being obsessed with Jonathan Bailey because, unlike celebrities like Megan Fox and MGK<\/a>, he rarely offers us juicy insight into his private life. But in a new interview with Vogue this week, he opened up about his love life and whether there’s room for kids in the future in the Bailey household.<\/p>\n

Of course, with Wicked: Part Two<\/a> set for a 2025 release and the upcoming resurgence of the Jurrasic Park franchise, Jonathan is an extremely busy man. That’s hardly the lifestyle of a doting dad, which he recognises.<\/p>\n

He said: “Yes, it\u2019s such a privilege for a man, but I can\u2019t bring children into my lifestyle now. I want to make sure I\u2019m going to be present; I\u2019m reading books on adoption.”<\/p>\n

Though Jonathan Bailey is an out and proud gay man<\/a>, reports suggest he’s dated women before and hasn’t completely ruled out raising a kid with a woman as a result. Still, it’s most likely going to be with a man.<\/p>\n

“I might co-parent with a woman, but I\u2019m thinking it will be with a man,” he said.<\/p>\n

He revealed his hilarious coming-out story<\/h2>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, Jonathan Bailey opened up about his coming out process which was admittedly worlds away from the harrowing experiences you read about online.<\/p>\n

He recalled: “I think other people understood my sexuality before I was even aware of it. I remember excitedly asking them ‘Guys, guys, who else thinks they’re gay? Do you? I do. I do.'”<\/p>\n

He said that “everyone went quiet” as a result despite it being a conversation he was “really really” interested in having at a sleepover with friends.<\/p>\n
