Alicent (Olivia Cooke) gets a shock when she takes a proper look at what Helaena (Phia Saban) has been sewing in House of the Dragon<\/a> season three episode six, and some viewers think it\u2019s pointing to a huge secret.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Things go from bad to worse for the mother-daughter duo after they\u2019re caught for a <\/span>second<\/span><\/i> time trying to escape from the Red Keep. Alicent reveals Helaena\u2019s pregnant<\/a>, posing yet another threat to Rhaenyra (Emma D\u2019Arcy).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In exchange for her daughter\u2019s safety, she reveals Helaena\u2019s vision of Aemond\u2019s (Ewan Mitchell)<\/a> whereabouts at Harrenhal. In the end, Alicent agrees to be a decoy and travel to meet him, the plan being for the Blacks to swoop in and kill the surviving heir.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ultimately, she chooses her daughter over her son for a second time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior to this moment, Helaena\u2019s mental state is really starting to deteriorate. While sewing, she uses the needle to self harm. Alicent begs with her to eat something but she just walks away, at which point the camera closes in on Helaena\u2019s needlework.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The central focus is what looks like Aemond wrapped up inside a red womb, which has led to the theory that he could be the father to Helaena\u2019s child.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The theory isn’t entirely coming out of nowhere. House of the Dragon has never made it clear exactly when Helaena became pregnant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Most assume she and her actual husband\/brother, Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney), slept together, but it\u2019s still confusing as this would\u2019ve had to have happened before he got injured at Rook\u2019s Rest but presumably after Blood and Cheese.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Aemond and Helaena shared a unique bond, further fuelling speculation. Despite this, it\u2019s widely believed that Aegon is the father, but this latest scene has reignited debate.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
