Blake made a cameo in the film which starred her husband Ryan Reynolds, but also got involved in some of the directorial decisions. Shawn Levy has opened up about his experience working with her on set and what suggestions she made.<\/p>\n<p>The film ended with Deadpool and Wolverine\u2019s fate being questioned after they destroyed the time ripper and suddenly disappeared from the screen. For a moment, while Matthew MacFadyen\u2019s Paradox was delivering a speech, we weren&#8217;t sure whether the two were alive.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Deadpool &amp; Wolverine | Official Trailer | In Theaters July 26\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/73_1biulkYk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m \">Shawn Levy said on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gamesradar.com\/entertainment\/marvel-movies\/deadpool-and-wolverines-ending-was-tweaked-in-a-day-and-a-half-of-reshoots-after-a-pitch-perfect-note-from-blake-lively\/\">director&#8217;s cut<\/a> of the film: \u201cCredit where credit is due. It used to be that there was no suspense, that the power room blew up, and our heroes had survived.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m \">He continued: \u201cIt was Blake Lively who said to us, \u2018you know, I\u2019ve been with you this whole movie. I want to sit in the fear that they\u2019re lost. Let me be in that place of suspense so the triumph of their survival is more emotional and visceral.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shawn Levy said that it &#8220;really opened up a new way of thinking&#8221; about the ending of the movie and her feedback was the reason why there was a reshoot. He also said the &#8220;payoff&#8221; was &#8220;so much more satisfying.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ a-font-body-m \">Furthermore, Ryan, who was also a producer on the film, said that the reshoots were done in just a day and a half. That&#8217;s criminally quick for Hollywood movies. \u201cThese kinds of movies typically involve weeks of reshoots,&#8221; he noted.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/C9ulj2nJy2W\/?hl=en&#038;img_index=1<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the first time Blake Lively has worked on a film either &#8211; she had commissioned a separate cut of It Ends With Us, which was released in August this year, after allegedly <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/2024\/08\/09\/it-ends-with-us-drama-deepdive-blake-lively-justin-baldoni-hate-each-other\">falling out with her co-star Justin Baldoni<\/a>. The separate cut came from film editor Shane Reid, who also worked on Deadpool and Wolverine. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/it-ends-with-us-sequel-movie-it-starts-with-us-1235979725\/\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> later found out it was Blake&#8217;s cut that was playing in the cinema, not Justin&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/2024\/08\/20\/blake-lively-taylor-swift-it-ends-with-us-pr-scandal\">It Ends With Us press tour<\/a>, Lively revealed that Ryan helped write a <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/2024\/08\/15\/ryan-reynolds-felt-obliged-to-save-it-ends-with-us-from-disaster-after-reading-script\">key rooftop scene<\/a> toward the beginning of the movie. \u201cWe help each other,\u201d the actress wrote on Instagram. \u201cHe works on everything I do. I work on everything he does.
