Your Fault: London comes out on Amazon Prime today, and the stars of the romance film are defending the controversial love between step-siblings.<\/p>\n

The English adaptation of the hit Spanish drama Your Fault\/Culpa Tuya has finally been released on Amazon Prime. Matthew Broome and Asha Banks step into the roles of Nick and Noah, respectively, in this taboo romance between step-siblings. But the actors aren’t ashamed of the storyline – in fact they say it’s what keeps viewers hooked.<\/p>\n

“People kind of want to see what shouldn’t happen. It’s a tale as old as time,” Asha said in an interview with Refinery29<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mathew agreed, adding: “It’s the double take of that, like, what?! I gotta see that.”<\/p>\n

“We have to sort of find their opinion in it, and of course, they kind of fall in love with each other, and they have to make sense of it in whatever way in their head to kind of carry on and to pursue each other,” Asha continued. “They have this kind of undeniable connection and love that’s so deep.”<\/p>\n

The central conflict of Your Fault, in both the English adaptation and the original Spanish series, centres on the taboo and controversial nature of their relationship. Their parents and people around them continuously voice their distaste for the romance – but that doesn’t stop Nick and Noah.<\/p>\n

“They are thinking [it’s taboo] as well, that’s what the tension is also in the film,” Mathew said on their dynamic. “They’re thinking everything that we all think, which is like, yeah. We love watching it, or yeah, they love each other, but also it’s like \u2014 should we be doing this?”<\/p>\n

The themes explored in Your Fault have undeniably drawn a huge audience to the original series, reaching number one in multiple countries. Plans for an English adaptation of the sequel have not yet been announced, but we’ll likely be seeing Matthew and Asha on screen again.<\/p>\n
