It\u2019s official: \u200b\u200bMika Abdalla and Jake Short have ended their engagement and split up. Now, Off Campus<\/a> fans are doing their best to \u201creign it in\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mika Abdalla has been acting since she was a child, but she\u2019s risen to global stardom after taking on the role of Allie in the Off Campus TV show<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her will-the-won\u2019t-they relationship with Dean (Stephen Kalyn) has become one of the most talked-about plotlines of the series, with Prime Video<\/a> confirming last week that they will be the main couple in Off Campus season two<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Naturally, viewers wanted to know who the actors are dating in real life<\/a>. Despite the on-screen chemistry between the various characters, many of the stars who play them are in relationships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mika Abdalla and Jake Short announce their break up<\/h2>\n

Abdalla had been dating former child Disney star Jake Short ever since they met on the set of Hulu\u2019s 2022 movie Sex Appeal, and the pair got engaged last year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, a representative for the Allie star confirmed to <\/span>Us Weekly<\/span><\/a> that they have now broken up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDue to recent interest in Mika\u2019s personal life it would feel remiss to not address that her and Jake are no longer together,\u201d the rep said. \u201cThey continue to support each other and remain on friendly terms, and kindly ask for privacy and respect.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Right now, Abdalla is focused on filming Off Campus season two, which is based on Elle Kennedy\u2019s third novel in the series, The Score. Meanwhile, Short is busy working on his own projects, including a recent short film which marks his directorial debut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for Dean star Stephen Kalyn<\/a>, he\u2019s engaged to Victoria Lovatsis. Not only have they been together since 2012, but she\u2019s the one who urged him to audition for the role of Dean.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Off Campus fans are doing their best to keep their \u2018parasocialness\u2019 under wraps<\/h2>\n

We all know how fandoms can be when it comes to shipping the real-life cast members (see Heated Rivalry<\/a>), but the Off Campus fans are now doing their best to avoid this in light of the news of Abdalla and Short\u2019s split.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
