We won! Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) and Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) are officially the main couple of Off Campus season two<\/a>. While this is great news, that means one character\u2019s death could very well get pushed up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Showrunner Louisa Levy confirmed the Dallie news this week, saying in a statement, \u201cWe are so excited to continue Allie and Dean\u2019s story<\/a> as our primary romance of season two after kickstarting their romance in season one.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don\u2019t worry – they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We\u2019re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone\u2019s story.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prime Video show is based on Elle Kennedy\u2019s Off Campus book series<\/a>, and while both versions are lighthearted and full of love, they aren\u2019t afraid to tackle the more difficult themes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Season one, for instance, explores how Garrett (Belmont Cameli) helps Hannah (Ella Bright)<\/a> to overcome past trauma after she was sexually assaulted in high school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Readers of the books will know that Dean and Allie\u2019s novel, The Score, handles one character\u2019s grief after a shocking death.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, Beau Maxwell (Khobe Clarke) dies in The Score, with Dean\u2019s grief serving as a major part of the plotline.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Beau was introduced in season one of the Off Campus<\/a> TV show as Dean\u2019s best friend and fellow student at Briar U. He\u2019s also Dean\u2019s best friend in the books and a college quarterback.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beau then appears in the second novel, The Mistake, and plays a more prominent role in the third – Dean and Allie\u2019s The Score. But sadly, tragedy strikes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The moment happens when Dean returns back to campus after spending time with his family and Allie. After a training session with Hunter (yes, they start out as friends<\/a>), he heads home to find everyone eerily quiet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dean pushes them for answers before Garrett admits that Beau died \u201con impact.\u201d The incident is told from Dean\u2019s perspective as his friends relay what happened.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a very long story. But it\u2019s a gut-wrenching one. Beau flew to Wisconsin this weekend for his grandmother\u2019s birthday. I already knew this – he called me before he left. We made plans to grab beers on Tuesday night,\u201d the chapter reads.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
