*Warning: Spoilers ahead for Euphoria season three episode seven*<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

In an ironic twist, the end of Euphoria season three episode seven sees Maddy (Alexa Demie) inherit Cassie and Nate\u2019s debt, and HBO<\/a> may have just spoiled where this road takes her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The latest instalment is undoubtedly the biggest yet, as Nate\u2019s (Jacob Elordi) dealings<\/a> with loan shark Naz (Jack Topalian) come back to bite him in the ass (or, in this case, the face).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Cassie (Sydney Sweeney)<\/a> doesn\u2019t come up with the money in time, Naz buries Nate alive with nothing more than an air vent. He then kidnaps Cassie and tells her she has 72 hours to come up with a million dollars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why 72 hours? Because otherwise Nate will die of dehydration. She turns to Maddy for help, who in turn calls in a favour with Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He agrees but only after Maddy puts on his chosen swimsuit and gets in the hot tub with him (more on this shortly). However, when they show up to make the deal, Cassie hands over the bag of cash, Naz opens it up, and he finds playing cards instead of money.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before he can do anything, Alamo shoots him dead and Naz\u2019s henchman joins their side. They dig Nate out of his shallow grave, only to discover he\u2019s dead, having been bit by a snake.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Just before this horrifying conclusion, Alamo makes it clear that he doesn\u2019t do anything for free. \u201cMore than a million in the hole. That\u2019s 20% of all future earnings,\u201d he says, referring to the girls Maddy is managing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a steep price to pay for friendship,\u201d he adds, but Maddy replies, \u201cLittle did I know you\u2019d get her back for free,\u201d indicating that she had no idea Alamo wasn\u2019t actually going to hand the cash over.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t mean the dead don\u2019t live on,\u201d Alamo says, and Maddy realises she\u2019s the one now trapped with the consequences.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alamo continues, \u201cWhat, you think \u2018cause I got a soft spot for you, I\u2019d do all this sh*t for free? You know what? About time your ass wised up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s first clarify: Maddy is still alive by the end of Euphoria<\/a> season three episode seven. However, some fans are convinced that she\u2019ll die in the upcoming finale after discovering a tweet from HBO.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Originally posted on May 19th, it says, \u201cThe (second) coldest female Alamo ever knew,\u201d alongside a picture of Maddy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The tweet was seemingly in reference to last week\u2019s episode, which introduced us to Alamo\u2019s backstory including his mum, and in the present day showed Alamo and Maddy agreeing to do business.<\/span><\/p>\n

But now Maddy is entangled with Alamo financially – and possibly trapped in the same system Angel was – fans think the HBO post may have foreshadowed her fate<\/a> days in advance.<\/span><\/p>\n

On X, one fan shared the post and wrote, \u201cThis just confirmed it. RIP Maddy Perez.\u201d Another said, \u201cKNEW?????\u201d to which the OP responded, \u201cI fear Sam Levinson really tried itttt.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
