The Off Campus TV show has us all in a chokehold right now, and while it\u2019s an excellent adaptation of the source material, there are some changes that had to be made – but that still doesn\u2019t explain what\u2019s going on with John Logan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Prime Video\u2019s<\/a> hockey romance series is based on Elle Kenendy\u2019s Off Campus novels<\/a>, with elements of her spinoff Briar U books tied in. Much like Bridgerton and Heated Rivalry, each entry focuses on a different couple, and the show is following suit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Season one tells the story of Hannah (Ella Bright) and Garrett (Belmont Cameli), just like the first book in the series, The Deal, although other characters\u2019 stories overlap.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though Dean (Stephen Kalyn)<\/a> and Allie\u2019s (Mika Abdalla) relationship is at the centre of the third novel, there have been lots of hints<\/a> that they\u2019ll be the focus of Off Campus season two.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Until this is confirmed, fans are poring over the details of the first chapter, including the book changes. But no switch up has sparked more discussion than whatever\u2019s going on with Logan (Antonio Cipriano).<\/span><\/p>\n

Does Logan still have a crush on Hannah?<\/h2>\n

By the end of season one, it\u2019s clearly indicated that Logan no longer has a crush on Hannah, and this is one of the plot points where the books provide answers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Just like the source material, Logan does have a crush on Hannah, but he later explains to his partner Grace (who\u2019s set to be introduced in season two) that it wasn\u2019t that he was in love with <\/span>her<\/span><\/i> so much as he wanted what she and Garret have.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The show tweaks this dynamic slightly by making Logan\u2019s yearning much more obvious, but there are still plenty of clues suggesting the adaptation is building toward the same conclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n

A lot of readers have noticed that Logan only really becomes interested in Hannah once Garrett does. As one pointed out on <\/span>Reddit<\/span><\/a>, \u201cHe said she’d served them a bunch of times at Malone’s before, but he’d never gone after her then.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The idea that he no longer has a crush on Hannah by the end is further highlighted by the fact that Logan\u2019s sibling Jules jokes that he always wants what he can\u2019t have.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI like that a lot better than the books, because he also liked Hannah before Garrett did in the books, and The Mistake just tried to retcon it into him being jealous of their relationship, when there was no relationship to be jealous of at that stage.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Season one repeatedly hints that Logan\u2019s issue isn\u2019t necessarily Hannah herself – it\u2019s Garrett. More specifically, it\u2019s the life Garrett seems to have so effortlessly, although Logan gets a new perspective when Garrett opens up about his father.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By the end of the show, Logan plays an active role in wanting to see Hannah and Garrett stay together. He\u2019s a clear supporter of their relationship, meaning any potential love triangle storyline is over.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s time to talk about *that* kiss<\/h2>\n

Still, Logan\u2019s crush is a huge catalyst for one of the big book changes that unfolds in the series: Hannah\u2019s kiss.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
