Many fans have expressed disappointment over what they believe has been too much time wasted on random side quests and establishing the upcoming prequel Vought Rising.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But for better or worse, <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/tag\/the-boys\/\">The Boys<\/a> still remains one of the best superhero shows on TV, and we\u2019ll all be seeing it through to the end, if only for the Homelander and Butcher showdown we\u2019ve been waiting years for.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Butcher star Karl Urban has reassured fans that the finale <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/2026\/05\/19\/karl-urban-says-the-boys-season-5-finale-wont-end-game-of-thrones-disappointment\/\">won\u2019t leave fans with a Game of Thrones-level disappointment<\/a>, while showrunner <a href=\"https:\/\/thetab.com\/filmshrine\/2026\/05\/18\/the-boys-season-5-recreated-breaking-bad-ending-formula-finale-fan-reaction\/\">Eric Kripke took inspiration from Breaking Bad<\/a> to plan the ending.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What\u2019s more, the cast and crew have assured there will be big deaths. It\u2019s must watch TV, but the release time has raised a few eyebrows.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>First, here\u2019s exactly when you can watch The Boys season 5 finale<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Season five episode eight, titled \u2018Blood and Bone\u2019, lands on Prime Video at 12am PT\/3am ET on Wednesday, May 20th. Like why premiere the The Boys SERIES finale at 3am ET? Make it 9pm ET so we can do cross country watch parties and skip AM spoilers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/wimpocolumbus\/status\/2056538582731395557\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cSeems odd that they&#8217;re releasing the series finale of The Boys at 3am on a Wednesday, a time that nearly no one will be awake.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A third took to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/TheBoys\/comments\/1th9yvq\/removed_by_moderator\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reddit<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and spoke about the fact that the cinema release is earlier. \u201cYeah it\u2019s complete f**kin BS they get it at 9pm EST and everyone else has to wait,\u201d they wrote.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEast coasters can\u2019t even get it at midnight. No one\u2019s staying up until 3am and it\u2019s a weekday release so most of us will have to tiptoe spoilers all work day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But other non-American fans aren\u2019t quite as forgiving. \u201cCongrats, y\u2019all are getting the fan experience that most non-Americans have for all big shows,\u201d wrote one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cReminds me of having to watch Game of Thrones episodes a full 24 hours after they released in the US.
