The ending of Euphoria season three episode six, \u2018Stand Still and See\u2019, sees Rue (Zendaya) having a spiritual moment. Although the burning bush scene might look like a divine act of nature, the crew went to extreme lengths to make it happen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s more, creator Sam Levinson<\/a> says Rue – and therefore we, the audience – \u201cmisinterpreted\u201d the Biblical moment. Before we get into it, be warned: Spoilers ahead for the latest episode.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What happens at the end of Euphoria season 3 episode 6?<\/h2>\n

Throughout much of the episode, Rue is searching for meaning in her life, whether that be through starting a family, her love for Jules (Hunter Schafer), or finding God.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Much of this soul-searching stems from Rue\u2019s past struggles and her increasingly dangerous involvement with drug kingpins Laurie (Martha Kelly) and Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), having secretly agreed to work with the DEA in exchange for leniency for her own crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rue nearly lost her life<\/a> in the last episode, so it makes sense that she\u2019s going through this emotional and spiritual turmoil. We see this through an emotional phone call she has with her mum Leslie (Nika King), where Rue admits she\u2019s desperate for redemption.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t really wanna be stuck with all the mistakes I\u2019ve made,\u201d she says.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking of Rue nearly losing her life, she manages to convince Alamo to spare her by, in turn, convincing Faye (Chloe Cherry) of sending her a copy of the key to get Alamo\u2019s money back from Laurie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the end of Euphoria<\/a> season three episode six, Alamo orders Rue to retrieve the cash, and the stakes couldn\u2019t be higher.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before making the journey out, Bishop (Darrell Britt-Gibson)\u00a0 tells Rue a story, which he ends by saying, \u201cYou never really know a motherf**ker\u2019s true intentions,\u201d implying he doesn\u2019t fully trust her.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To really drive this home, Bishop reveals he visited Rue\u2019s mother – her actual mum, not the DEA. In other words, if she screws them, they\u2019ll hurt Leslie.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The scene cuts to Rue driving out into the desert to retrieve the cash, and she listens to Bible passages on the way. The audio becomes distorted, causing Rue to try and fix it while speeding down the road.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She\u2019s so distracted that she doesn\u2019t see the lorry coming in her direction until the very last moment, at which point she swerves off the road and the car breaks down.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When Rue gets out of the car, a Joshua tree spontaneously combusts. She kneels down in front of it in awe, seemingly seeing this as a sign from God.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As Rue previously narrated, \u201cMaybe every mistake I made led me to the right place after all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
