Every time a Euphoria cast member answers questions about their characters’ endings, I grow more fearful. Now, we don’t know for certain whether the finale of season three will be the last ever episode of Euphoria, but the lead actors seem to think so. Erm, does that mean some main characters will meet sticky ends?<\/p>\n

Here are the cagiest things the Euphoria cast have said about their characters’ endings in season three. Their responses do not bode well for the finale.<\/p>\n

Sydney Sweeney isn’t ‘satisfied’<\/h2>\n

Aw, remember Euphoria<\/a> season one, when Cassie came across as well-meaning and relatable? After enduring season three, many Euphoria viewers are a bit concerned about where Cassie’s story is heading<\/a>. Some have speculated that the Shakespeare speech from her audition could be predicting her death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the premiere for season three, Entertainment Tonight<\/a> asked Sydney Sweeney<\/a>: “If this is the end of Euphoria, what is your perfect Cassie ending?”<\/p>\n

“I don’t know if there is a perfect ‘Cassie ending’,” she said, “it might be where we’ve ended, and I can’t give it away.”<\/p>\n

When asked if she was satisfied with the ending, Sydney was a bit evasive. She responded: “I don’t know if I’ll ever be satisfied. Cassie has been such a big part of my life, so I think it’s a very bittersweet moment, for sure.”<\/p>\n

Based on those comments, it does rather sound as if we won’t be seeing more of Cassie in the future (either because Sydney Sweeney wouldn’t be able to fit in another season, or Cassie’s story has a conclusive end).<\/p>\n

Help, Alexa Demie said ‘it’s not a happy ending’<\/h2>\n

Extra TV<\/a> asked Alexa Demie if she was happy with her character Maddy’s fate in season three<\/a>. Alexa paused, tilted her head, said “yeah” six times, then described Maddy’s ending as “very fitting for Euphoria”. Erm, what does that mean?<\/p>\n

The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> also asked her about Maddy’s ending. Alexa said: “Yeah… I don’t want to… I don’t want to give it away. It’s Euphoria. It’s not a happy ending, but it’s close.” She also shared that season three “feels like” the end of Euphoria.<\/p>\n

Zendaya<\/a> did hint her character’s story would be wrapped up neatly. I am taking this as more evidence that Rue didn’t really die<\/a> at the end of season three episode five.<\/p>\n

On The Drew Barrymore Show, Zendaya was questioned on whether season three would be the finale. She replied: “I think so, yeah.”<\/p>\n

Drew Barrymore said: “Is this to be enjoyed? Because I almost need to know the mind frame\u2026”<\/p>\n

“Closure is coming,” Zendaya cut in.<\/p>\n

Er, does that mean the finale isn’t to be enjoyed?<\/p>\n

According to Jacob Elordi, we’ll see ‘the end of arrogance’<\/h2>\n

Jacob Elordi<\/a> hasn’t passed judgement on Nate’s ending in season three, but he has hinted at what’s in store for the character. He said on The Awardist<\/a> that season three would involve “the end of hubris” and “the end of arrogance”. He explained: “It’s that point when you look at the world after years of thinking that you know everything and you look over your shoulder and you look back and you realise that you don’t know a f**king thing.”<\/p>\n

Apparently, the word that drives Nate in season three is “survive”. Erm, is that a clue that Nate won’t survive? Will he finally get his comeuppance, and meet a sticky end?<\/p>\n
