Another week, another unhinged Sydney Sweeney scene on Euphoria. Episode five of season three featured Cassie becoming gigantic, then stomping through a city (but like, sexily). Sydney Sweeney and the production team for Euphoria went to some extreme lengths to film the “giantess” scene.<\/p>\n

Er, yes, this is a real genre of OnlyFans content<\/h2>\n

In case you weren’t aware, yes, some people are really into this. The unhinged scene in Euphoria is a parody of “giantess” content. The technical term for it is “macrophilia”. Apparently, this was the most-searched fetish in 2023<\/a>. It’s not unusual for OnlyFans subscribers to request creators pretend to be giants<\/a>, who step on them or keep them as a pet and whatnot.<\/p>\n

Videos in this genre are usually made with figurines. Obviously, the scene in Euphoria went the extra mile and showed Cassie<\/a> stomping around a city in the manner of vintage Godzilla movies.<\/p>\n

It took a year to make the set<\/h2>\n

In a behind-the-scenes video<\/a>, Sydney Sweeney<\/a> said: “The ‘Cassie-zilla’ sequence was probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done … the details were unbelievable. There were trees and cars, and the buildings were my size.”<\/p>\n

A huge team collaborated on the set. It took approximately a year to create all the models. Crikey, no wonder we had to wait four years for season three of Euphoria<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Instead of one big set, the miniature landscape consisted of three or four pieces that could be moved around. The camera seems to sweep through the city, as if on a helicopter. But the crew were actually turning the set pieces, not the camera.<\/p>\n

The miniatures aren’t of random buildings, but replicate Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles. Wow, imagine if your flatmate asked you what you got up to at work that day, and you replied, “Oh, not much, I just studied photos of a Los Angeles office building so I can craft a mini version so Sydney Sweeney’s character’s nipples can smash through the windows.”<\/p>\n

There is a deep meaning behind the ‘giantess’ scene<\/h2>\n

The “giantess” scene starts off with Cassie growing too big for her bedroom, then stomping through Los Angeles towards Hollywood. You could take this as a metaphor for how she has ambitions beyond being a trad wife, or a cam girl, and is setting her sights on becoming an A-list actor.<\/p>\n

The costume designer, Natasha Newman-Thomas, explained<\/a>: “Cassie is always performing. Before, she was performing as the perfect little housewife, and now she’s dying to break out and perform for the world. We used a lot of butterflies as a theme because I feel like she becomes so much more flamboyant when she comes out of the, like, Nate cocoon.”<\/p>\n

Cassie has several butterfly tops. The bralette she wears to make the “giantess” video also has patterns like a butterfly’s wings.<\/p>\n

Wait, does Sydney Sweeney film all these nude scenes for Euphoria?<\/h2>\n

We’ve seen almost all of Cassie in Euphoria season three, but are all these shots really Sydney Sweeney?<\/p>\n

Sydney Sweeney has been candid in interviews about filming nude scenes for Euphoria<\/a>, and how complicated these moments are to pull off. She told Grazia<\/a>: “I\u2019m so disconnected from it. When I get tagged in Cassie\u2019s or\u00a0The Voyeurs\u2019\u00a0Pippa\u2019s nudes, it feels like me looking at their nudes, not Sydney\u2019s nudes … When you film one of these scenes, it is so technical and so not romantic. There are people staring at you, there\u2019s pads between you, there\u2019s nipple covers and weird sticker thongs all up in your butt.”<\/p>\n
