The Boys season five episode seven – aka the penultimate episode of the show – will be coming to Prime Video<\/a> next week. We don\u2019t know for sure what will go down, but the title may give us a clue and it\u2019s not looking good.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Up until now, the fifth and final season of the superhero satire has focused on The Boys\u2019<\/a> attempts to stop Homelander.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A spanner was thrown in the works when it was discovered that a sample of V1 – Frederick Vought\u2019s original Compound V, which renders people immortal – exists somewhere in the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The two sides have been racing to get their hands on it, leading to this week\u2019s episode. Soldier Boy manages to get it off Bombsight, only to then simply hand it over to Homelander<\/a>, who swiftly injects it into his veins.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Not only will this make him stronger than ever, but it also means he\u2019s biologically immortal (aka he won\u2019t age) – and the supe virus Butcher\u2019s been banking on won\u2019t kill him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, given how The Boys comics turn out, it\u2019s not outrageous to predict that by the finale<\/a>, the gang will find a way to stop Homie before he destroys the entire planet. But before then, there will no doubt be deaths.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So far, the only notable season five deaths are Firecracker (killed by Homelander)<\/a> and Black Noir 2 (killed by Deep). But if the episode seven title is anything to go by, things are about to get brutal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Boys season five episode seven is titled \u2018The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk\u2019 – meaning Frenchie, Kimiko, and Mother\u2019s Milk could die in this installment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, this might be a reach, but there are a couple of things to notice here. Firstly, there\u2019s the fact that TV shows tend to include a character\u2019s name in the title when something significant is about to happen to them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And given this is the penultimate episode of The Boys <\/a><\/span>ever<\/span><\/i>, this could be their time to bow out.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly, the title is using their names from the comics \u2013\u00a0the Frenchman is Frenchie, the Female is Kimiko (her name was made up for the series), and The Man Called Mother\u2019s Milk, well, that one\u2019s self explanatory.<\/span><\/p>\n

It feels oddly final. Could this be a homage to the source material as that\u2019s the last time we\u2019re going to see these characters alive?<\/span><\/p>\n

Some fans certainly think so, with one writing on <\/span>Reddit<\/span><\/a>, \u201cNormally, in TV shows, if an episode title is a character’s name, doesn’t that character usually die?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe episode titled \u2018The Frenchman, the Female, and the Man Called Mother’s Milk\u2019 frankly scared me. Do you think the series will resemble the comic book timeline?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

How exactly do Kimiko, Frenchie and Mother\u2019s Milk die in The Boys comics?<\/h2>\n

It\u2019s no secret that The Boys TV show is only inspired by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson\u2019s comics of the same name, so we can\u2019t look to it for certainty over any character\u2019s fate.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it\u2019s still worth knowing where their stories end up in the source material. You see, things go horribly wrong for The Boys in the final arc of the comics after Butcher fully commits to wiping out all supes – and anyone connected to Compound V.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

By this point, he\u2019s become increasingly unstable and decides the only way to stop another Homelander<\/a> situation is total extermination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mother\u2019s Milk is the first to go in #68 when he confronts Butcher after realising he\u2019s gone too far. Butcher responds by detonating a grenade in front of MM\u2019s face, before suffocating him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Frenchie and Kimiko die next in #69 after discovering Butcher has rigged The Boys\u2019 headquarters with explosives. Realising there\u2019s no escape, Frenchie confesses his love for Kimiko moments before the building detonates, killing them both instantly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their deaths ultimately set up the comic\u2019s final confrontation between Butcher and Hughie. Horrified by what he\u2019s done to the rest of the team, Hughie stabs Butcher in the chest, killing him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eric Kripke has already warned fans about \u2018lots of death\u2019<\/h2>\n

Obviously, the Prime Video series won\u2019t take the exact same route (in the comics, we find out that Black Noir is actually a Homelander clone who\u2019s been committing all of these horrifying acts, causing the real Homelander to think he\u2019s lost his mind).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
