The Boys season five episode six is here, meaning there are just two more episodes until the show wraps up for good. So, why exactly are new supes like Bombsight and Golden Geisha taking up airtime?<\/span><\/p>\n

Well, like it or not, Prime Video<\/a> doesn\u2019t want to let the beloved IP go. Although Gen V was rather inexplicably cancelled before it could get a third season, prequel spinoff Vought Rising<\/a> is in the works and set to drop in 2027.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The series is set in the 1950s, focusing on the early days of Vought, including Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), Stormfront (Aya Cash), and newcomer Bombsight (Mason Dye). Rather than introducing him fresh, he gets some backstory in The Boys<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Season five episode six sees the gang racing to get hold of the V1 before Homelander<\/a>, and it turns out that Bombsight has the last remaining sample. He\u2019s saving it for his one true love, Golden Geisha, aka Goldie – but she\u2019s not keen on living forever.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Who are Bombsight and Goldie?<\/h2>\n

Bombsight and Goldie are supes introduced solely in The Boys\u2019 TV universe. In other words, they aren\u2019t in the source material: Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson\u2019s comics of the same name.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though they\u2019re new to the show, they\u2019re both literally old. Bombsight – real name Robbie – is an old ally of Soldier Boy\u2019s. He served as a combat pilot in the US Armed Forces before being injected with V1 as part of Frederick Vought\u2019s early experiments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He went on to become a WWII-era supe alongside Soldier Boy. Much like the modern-day supes, Bombsight was part of the Vought machine – as we previously learned, he once starred in the 1953 movie The Curse of Fu Manchu.<\/span><\/p>\n

As well as being immortal and not aging thanks to the V1, his powers include the ability to levitate and propel himself through the air at rapid speeds, alongside superhuman strength, durability, and hearing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for Golden Geisha (Naoko Mori), she is another older supe, having been primarily active in the 1970s. Even though she\u2019s aged, she still looks a lot younger than her actual age – around late \u201880s – due to her being a supe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now she\u2019s wheelchair bound and lives in a retirement facility for supes. Bombsight fell in love with Goldie many years prior, hence why he\u2019s so reluctant to give away the V1. He wants her to take it so they can live forever, together, but Goldie shuts him down.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She doesn\u2019t want immortality. As she puts it, \u201cSummer is only beautiful when you know winter is coming.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Her powers include the ability to generate and manipulate energy, which she can use to create a protective forcefield around whatever she chooses. We see this in full force when she uses it to protect Kimiko from Bombsight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the two new supes are receiving plenty of praise as creative new additions to the lineup, multiple The Boys fans are complaining that they\u2019re the focus of the new episode given it\u2019s the final ever season of the Prime Video series.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
